Final Polish

Hi everyone, the past couple of weeks have all been about implementation, whether that be lighting, post-processing or tweaking things that are in the game. The major change for the game is probably that levels 1-4 are basically finished, and that includes lighting and post-processing. I'm sure there will be tweaks made up until the day of release, but it is at the point where nothing major will be changed. The game is looking rather good with all the post-processing effects that have been added; they certainly enhance the game when looking at comparisons of it on or off. For example, here is a comparison with it off and on for the third level:

It is getting rather close to PGF now, and I'm getting quite excited for it, and I'm sure the rest of the team is as well (as well as nervous lol) as I can't wait for people to play it!

Hi all, Kelly here! Recently, I've been working on blocking out levels using the designs I had come up with previously. So far, I have completed the Alien Planet level, including adding assets created by the team to flesh it out and add to the worldbuilding of the level. After a few revisions and making some minor adjustments based on player feedback, the level was sent to Ronan who implemented it into the game and polished it further. I've now started on the final level which I was skeptical of due to its length and layout at first. However, it has gone through a few changes since the original mock up so hopefully, these improvements will translate across in the end.

Hey it’s Melissa, so everything is nearly ready for the release and we’re just finishing the last few parts of our game and preparing things for our table for PGF. I created some of the last few models; building debris, poles and cables, which will help decorate the levels and show more clearly that the lab has been torn apart into sections by the portal. The last level is being completed and decorated so no more models will be needed. Now that the models have been finished I had moved on to the poster and flyer concepts. The poster design has been finalised and now all that’s left for me to do is the flyer design that we will have to hand out to people interested in our game at PGF. So far it’s just basic concepts and nothing definitive yet.

Hey test lead, It's been quite a long journey, but the end is finally in sight! I've been working on the FAQ, the presskit, and the tutorial video for the game, and some of the tasks are still in progress. In the meantime, I'm waiting for another game release to be tested. It's not the most exciting work, but it needs to be done. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.

And finally, Taj here, I've been working on finishing up the last of the cutscenes, rendering them out and putting them all together with the sound effects. The opening cutscene is fully finished and the ending cutscene is rendering out currently so over the next couple days that will be finished up and edited together as well. I've also started work on promo hand outs for PGF in the form of 3D printed bounce pads! I've prepped the models for printing and will be doing the first test print in the coming days, if that works out then I'll be mass producing as many as I can before the event! I've also started some plans for a few other bits of marketing but you'll have to stay tuned for that!

Thanks for tuning in and we will updated you all again on our progress very soon!
